Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge - Kit List
Yorkshire Three Peaks
What kit to take?
Even though you are never very far from some form of civilisation (be it a farmhouse, country inn, road or railway) you should remember to carry enough food, clothing, and safety equipment to remain self-contained, and not have to rely on outside help, or even local Cave Rescue.

The basics are good clothing, including warm wear and waterproofs, good boots or walking shoes which have previously been broken in, maps and route guide, a first aid kit and plastic bivvy bag, a head torch and spare batteries (some teams may well finish in the dark), and of course - enough food and drink for some 12 hours hard work in the hills...
Food and drinks are often available at a catering van parked at Ribblehead, the Philpin Barn at Chapel-Le-Dale, and the Inns at both of the above. However, don't rely on them as they may not be there, or may be closed..! Remember to take some money with you.
